A Bit About Me

A lot of what brings people to therapy lives in relationships: attachment and emotional enmeshment, conflict, shame, guilt, and sometimes abuse. I pay close attention to those patterns and to the families, cultures, communities, and belief systems that shaped them. That includes moral injury and religious trauma, which can leave people questioning who they are and what they can trust.

I take an eclectic, psychodynamic approach informed by postmodern and constructivist theories. In practice, that means we look for meaning in the problems you’re facing, not just ways to fix them. The goal is for what we do in session to strengthen your relationships outside of it.
