ADHD Caregiver Support Group

Raising a child with ADHD comes with a unique set of joys and challenges — and it's easy to feel like you're figuring it out alone.

This 8-week virtual support group gives caregivers a space to learn, ask questions, & connect with others who genuinely get it.

For parents and caregivers of children with ADHD

Led by Amy Cervania, LPC-Associate, the group blends practical education with real conversation, so you leave each session with both tools you can use and a little less of that "am I the only one dealing with this?" feeling.

This group is one of several support groups offered at Pflugerville Counseling Center. If you're also looking for individual support, browse our therapy programs or full range of services.

What We'll Cover

Over eight sessions, we'll work through the topics caregivers ask about most:

  • Neurobiology Basics of ADHD — understanding what's actually happening in your child's brain, and why

  • Tools for Regulation — practical strategies to help your child (and you) manage big emotions

  • Coping with Challenging Behaviors — reframing behavior and responding in the moment

  • Rejection Sensitivity & Social Anxiety — supporting kids who feel criticism and rejection intensely

  • Supporting Executive Functioning Skills — helping with planning, organization, and follow-through

  • Advocating for School Supports (504/IEP) — how to navigate the school system and get your child what they need

  • Building Your Own Support System — because caring for your child starts with caring for yourself
